The Marine Stripe Kikoi collar from Hiro & Wolf is crafted from cotton fabric woven in Kenya with thick vegetable-tanned leather.
The hands-free leash has a d-ring about half way along the leash and clips at each end. One clip attaches to the d-ring to create a loop for cross-body wear. The other end attaches to the dog collar. The hands-free leash works as a double leash for two dogs by posting the fabric through the d-ring to create a handle.
The fabric is backed onto tough polyester webbing and stitched together using nylon thread. The leash uses high quality 'lobster claw' trigger snap hooks with spring-gate and d-rings made from nickel-plated solid brass, for that added security for large dogs (and small strong ones!).
The cotton fabric is highly durable and has been sourced from and woven in Kenya. Woven in soft colours in Kikoi stripes, the traditional fabric is extremely hard-wearing, easy to clean and looks fabulous on both long- and short-haired breeds.
These collars and leashes are hand-made in the East London studio and rigorously tested by Hiro and Wolf themselves on muddy walks through Hackney marshes (grassland on western bank of River Lea in Hackney) and occasional shopping trips to Liberties!
Take this leash with its matching collar for the most stylish hound in the park!

Care where your gear is made in?
We are thrilled to feature Hiro and Wolf, a brand which devotes itself to fair trade in East Africa, by engaging the Bombolulu workshop, a non-profit organization and a member of the World Trade Organization. The brand works with the physically disabled artisans in crafting jewellery, textile and leather products, by paying them a fair price. The regular income the artisans received not only empower them socially and economically, it supports the community, keeping them away from illegal poaching, thus protecting the environment and wild life in the area.

What I like about this raincoat is the coverage it provides and the hind legs straps to keep it in place when the dog is running. While it is quite expensive compared to other brands, it does what it should do. A little downside is that it is not so easy to wear outside when you are caught in the rain as this involves putting your dog’s 2 front legs into the sleeves, close the zip & button the tapered sleeves. This can only be done if you wear it at home before you head out, but definitely not when you are outdoors caught in the rain. Thus I have 2 different types of rain coat. I brought along the easy wear type in my bag and this Hurtta I leave at home.
This leather harness is very refine - soft, smooth and comfortable. My cocker spaniel doesn’t resist wearing it unlike those uncomfortable ones which he will struggle putting on. I can see that he likes it, comfortable wearing it and very mobile cum agile in this harness. The feel of this harness is very good - I wish I can find leather shoes as comfortable as this harness.
