This mixed protein diet uses the optimal meat and organs from each animal to ensure complete nutrition.
Consider our Turducken raw recipe for the following reasons:
-
Diverse Protein Sources: Turducken combines three different poultry meats, providing a variety of protein sources. This variety can help prevent dietary monotony and reduce the risk of food allergies or sensitivities that can develop with a single protein source.
-
Triple Omega-3 Richness: The combination of turkey, duck, and chicken provides a triple dose of Omega-3 fatty acids, to support your pet’s skin, coat, and joint health.
-
Gentle on the Digestive System: Many pets find the blend of poultry meats in turducken easy to digest, making it a gentle choice for sensitive stomachs.
Ingredient Sourcing:
Steve's turkey comes from a family farm in California. The turkeys roam freely, are given enrichment activities, and are raised on a non-GMO, biologically appropriate diet. Their chickens come from an eight generation family farm in Washington and Oregon that introduced “No Antibiotics Ever Chicken.” The farm raises free-range chickens and is Non-GMO Project verified. Steve's delicious red-meat duck hails from Maple Leaf Farms, providing top-quality White Pekin Duck to America’s finest chefs. The ducks are free to roam in a cage-free environment and are never given growth hormones or antibiotics. They have access to climate-controlled barns to protect them during the cold Indiana winters. When the ducks are harvested, the farm attempts to utilize every part of the animal so nothing goes to waste. The feathers are sent to make pillows and blankets, and the meat gets added to our tasty pet food. The produce is sourced from the Pacific Northwest, and goat milk comes from a family farm in Gaston, Oregon. Steve’s Real Food is committed to working with family farms that share our belief in sustainable farming free from added hormones, antibiotics, and pesticides.

Feeding Guide:
If you are transitioning to raw, we suggest transitioning over a 1-2 week period. Check out our transitioning guide here for more information and tips for switching over your pets.
Portion
-
Start with a clean, airtight container and portion your pet’s daily feeding amount into it. If feeding multiple times a day, divide the recommended daily feeding amount by number of feedings per day.
Rehydrate
- Add ¾ cup of warm water per every 1 cup of food. Stir to ensure even hydration. Let the liquid absorb into the food for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Serve
-
Once fully rehydrated, serve it to your pet on a clean dish. Thoroughly wash your hands and sanitize all areas that come into contact with the raw food to promote a safe feeding environment.
How Much to Feed
Each four-legged friend will metabolize food differently based on their activity level, breed, age, etc. Use our feeding calculator as a starting point for your pet, and adjust the feeding amount as necessary to help your pet achieve an ideal body weight.
Safe Handling Raw Pet Food
