No worries when you have the Hurtta Rain Blocker Eco dog on hand! This dog raincoat design combines the ease of use and protection of an overall. Made from 100% recycled polyester fabric, this dog raincoat material is a flexible and comfortable outdoor fabric.

The Rain Blocker dog raincoat is designed with coverage at front quarters to minimize the amount of dirt on the front parts of the dog while still being easy to put on and take off. The coat has a high collar with a rain trap which prevents water from getting inside the coat and along the dog’s neck.

After choosing your dog's size, coat can be adjusted further to fit your dog even better; 1) the back length adjustment via drawstring at the tail, 2) neck and waist tightening drawstrings. Reflectors on the collar and rear hem improve visibility in low light conditions.

Doggies who wear harnesses have the opening on the back of the raincoat for leash to access the harness. Raincoat comes with fully taped seams. Elastic (foot) loops help to keep extra large hind flaps in place whenever dog is in full action. The raincoat secures via a zipper along the length of the torso, and coat is unlined but comes with wind foil underneath.

How to measure your dog

Take 1 tape measure and 1 dog (and maybe some treats).

Measure neck size for collars

Take measurement round the base of neck, with 2 fingers slag (UC). Then choose the collar size to match the measurement.

(Do not measure old collar.)

Measure girth for harness / apparel

Take measurement of the largest part of the chest (LC).

Girth is slightly behind the fore legs (not at the fore legs, 'arm pits').

Then choose the gear that matches your measurements.

Measure torso for apparel

Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (L).

Choose the apparel that matches your measurements.

Hurtta rain blocker evo

What I like about this raincoat is the coverage it provides and the hind legs straps to keep it in place when the dog is running. While it is quite expensive compared to other brands, it does what it should do. A little downside is that it is not so easy to wear outside when you are caught in the rain as this involves putting your dog’s 2 front legs into the sleeves, close the zip & button the tapered sleeves. This can only be done if you wear it at home before you head out, but definitely not when you are outdoors caught in the rain. Thus I have 2 different types of rain coat. I brought along the easy wear type in my bag and this Hurtta I leave at home.
