More about Dr Priya Streram

Dr. Priya Streram is founder-veterinarian of the social enterprise, ARK Vet Rehab. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010 and underwent further training as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner and Veterinary Acupuncturist.
After working in Melbourne, Australia for 7 years, Dr. Priya took a leap of faith and moved to Phuket, Thailand to work as a Rehab Vet at the Soi Dog Foundation. She established a fully functional rehabilitation service for the large local shelter. Six months after her departure from the shelter, she returned for a visit only to witness the fruits of her labour. The rehabilitation team was on fire and was able to continue the work that was started by her.
This was the fuel to a bigger and grander vision for her work as a Rehabilitation Veterinarian. She now has a vision to help 1 million dogs in Asia gain freedom through mobility. To do this she will work with local shelters and veterinarians in the region to educate and train the appropriate personnel’s. With the support of Investors in her vision, she aims to demolish the barrier to the establishment of this much needed service which is start-up cost.
