The Pet's Piano is a new puzzle game which requires your dog or cat to work both vertically and horizontally, unlike flat board puzzles where pets moves tiles with noses or paws to get the reward.



This game trains concentration and dexterity, as well as boosting pet's natural instinct of curiosity, drive to play and sense of smell. 


Eight wooden pipes in which small treats can be hidden, can be tapped and contents inside will drop out. At the same time, the other end of the pipe plays a sound on the xylophone. Mozart is born! 


The Pet's Piano is a challenging game that requires some degree of skill from your dog. Difficulty level varies from easy to medium. It can be made more difficult by placing hats (pegs) in the row below the pipes and the player needs to remove them before tapping the pipes.

All our games and puzzles are made from certified wood covered with water-based varnish that is not harmful to humans and animals. Please keep the game dry and free of water exposure, as the wooden pieces may swell otherwise. Use only dry treats for playing with our games.





Here's how it works:



1.    Place a number of treats in the pipes. Make sure your pet observes you while you are doing it. 


2. Encourage your dog to tap on the pipes to release the treats. Demonstrate and encourage verbally.


3. Praise each time your dog or cat manages to release a treat - this motivates them to play as much as the smell of their favorite treat. 


4. Place treats in the row below the pipes and cover treats with hats (or pegs, not included in this package). Encourage your pets to remove the hats to retrieve the rewards.



Hints:

• Start from easy and gradually progress to more difficult levels, as she or he learns. As with any interactive puzzle make sure to keep watch over your dog all the while he is solving it, being an active witness to his achievement.


• Play with your pet and encourage him to solve the task. Stay calm, be patient and continue to explain the game to your pet until he understands it.

• Keep your dog supervised during play and intervene when he starts to bite the game. Cats can play with the puzzle on its own.

• Let your dog play with the game no longer than 10 minutes, otherwise he might lose his interest in the game. Distract him with something else and put the game away for a little while.

• A few days break from the puzzle and playing with other games from My Intelligent Dogs® games collection will let your dog enjoy the game anew each time you give it to him.
