Attention proud Mamas and Papas out there! Just when you think your hound has exhausted all interactive toys out there, brace yourselves for a one-of-a kind, modular toy that could promise endless fun!
The Odin, named after the creators' Corgi, is a modern, puzzle toy, designed with the flexibility to be connected in multiple units, to add variation and complexity to the game!
It features integrated flaps through which treats can be place and four holes of varying sizes for treats of different sizes to fall out. It is designed light enough for small dogs and big enough not to be swallowed by large dogs.
The Odin is a modern, minimalist design inspired by geometric shapes and art. Not only will your dog get loads of fun from it, it will look good in any home.
Watch the video below!
How to play?
Place treats through any of the 2 flaps. Start off with small treats that will easily fall out of any of the 4 holes on the sides. Show your dog by rolling and shaking the Odin, treats will fall out. Let them have a try, they will soon know by rolling or picking up and dropping the toy, treats will start falling out!
To make it more interesting, connect 2 Odins! With connected Odins, they do not roll about as much but becomes harder to pick up and treats to fall out. Your dog will now have to play with it differently. Some dogs find it harder, some find it easier.
How tough is the Odin?
It is not made to be a chew toy nor be forced open :) Monitor your dog's play. The toy will last as long as those behaviour is prevented. There are big strong dogs who found endless hours of fun but there are small dogs who chewed through the toy!
Supervise and guide your dog's play. Once your dog starts to chew it, take it away, toss it for them to fetch and play again. Ideally your dog should be rolling and picking up and dropping the toy to get the treats out, not biting, tearing or forcing their snouts into the The Odin. The flaps are the weakest part of the toy and so the most care should be taken that your dog does not chew on the flaps while playing.
Dimensions of the Odin: 3.6" by 3.3" by 3.8" [9cm by 8cm by 10cm] It is bigger than a tennis ball but smaller than a softball.
The Odin is made from TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber), non toxic, BPA-free, latex-free and phthalates-free.
Why we love the Odin
Other than for the unique, one-of-a-kind design, we love the Odin because creators of the Odin give back 1% of every toy sold go to animals in need, in this case, their local animal sanctuary, Pasado's Haven. The toy was created to make dogs happy, in return for the happiness dogs bring us. This motivation resonates with Ginger and Bear!
